Boughton Monchelsea Beaver Colony

Beavers is the second section in Scouting focusing on young people aged 6-8 years old. Beavers offer opportunities to try new activities, have fun, go on adventures and make new friends whilst learning about the world around them.

Beavers are placed in smaller groups called Lodges. They provide a ‘home’ area for Beaver Scouts to gather during a meeting and give young children an introduction to Leadership.

During their time in the Colony, Beaver Scouts will get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on sleepovers. Participation, rather than meeting set standards, is the key approach, and there are a range of badges and challenge awards that Beaver Scouts can gain to recognise their achievements.

Joining Beavers is just the start of a big adventure.
